Tissue Paper
Made from 100% recycled paper. |
|
Ribbon
We have 3 eco-ribbon options. Silk Ribbon is naturally biodegradable. Cotton ribbon is acid free and coloured with soy inks. Plant fiber ribbon is tree free, made from grasses and banana leaves. |
|
Bags & Clear Wrap
Our clear wrap looks like cellophane but instead of plastic it is made from plant cellulose. This means it easily compostable. This cello-wrap is also non-GMO and carbon neutral. |
|
Green-Practices
We support other green businesses and use the greenest options to run our Vancouver florist business. |
 |
Website
The energy that is used to run our website comes from the sun. Our website is hosted using solar powered servers run by "Solar Energy Host" located on Denman Island. |
|
Carbon Offsetting
We buy carbon credits of help offset the carbon used for our deliveries, imported flowers and supplies. |
|
Printing
All our "in office" printing is printed on recycled or tree free paper. We use green printing services for all our promotional material. These printers use soy-based inks. |
|
Waste Reduction
We compost all of our plant material. And, of course, we recycle and reuse everything possible. At the end of the month we typically have ½ of a regular sized garbage bag of actual garbage. |

Floral Industry Facts
Education is often the key to responsible choices. Here are a few facts to give you an idea of why it’s so important to buy flowers grown with environmental and social responsibility.
The floriculture industry uses more pesticides per acre than any other agricultural commodity.
Many of the chemicals used in South America, Asia, and South Africa are unregulated or banned.
It is estimated that there are as many as 350 million pesticide poisonings each year among agricultural workers. |
